My X-Files viewing followed a similar path (though I think I stopped watching it becuase it was on after the TV room in hall closed...), though we haven't seen the last few series yet. But you've inspired me to buy it, having spoken about it several times.

We enjoyed the movie too. I like all the continuity stuff - M&S together, Skinner turning up, what happened to the baby. Good to see a (somehwat) return to form. Though wish they'd just done another series, without all the "mythology" gubbins.

I must say, I agree - I liked the monster of the week episodes best, though I did enjoy the overarching conspriacy story arch too.
