I saw some sweet straw hats in Tesco, which I thought would suit Beth for her holiday. But what size to buy? She is quite tall for her age, so while she is still (just) six, I thought the hat for five- to nine-year-olds might be a bit tight on her. So I bought one sized for nine- to thirteen-year-olds.

And it is too small on her. I think we have a six-year-old with an adult-sized head.
