I usually record and watch on different days too. It's very rare for me to watch something live. Indeed I often watch programmes that I've recorded years later - Midsomer Murders and Poirot I'm thinking of you! But Strictly is a bit different in our house: unless we watch it on the night of broadcast we are likely to be spoiled about the result before we could watch it. So it's a rare programme we watch that day, tho not quite live, more starting an hour late and accelerating through the padding thanks to Sky+.
