Condensed soup

I get through quite a lot of tinned tomato soup; good for lunches, whether at home or at the office. And tomato soup is the king of soups.

I sometimes buy tins of Batchelors Condensed Soup “Cream of Tomato” (formerly Campbell’s Condensed Soup, before their license expired in 2008). My most recent tins bore the ominous message that they had a new recipe with reduced salt. The salt isn’t the problem; to my taste the new formulation tastes unpleasantly sweet. What a pity.

I like the celery condensed soup best - that's my lunchtime favourite. But I find it sucks all the water out of my body an leaves me feeling ick.

Heinz all the way for tomato soup though!
