Brown
The news reports that Gordon Brown has resigned. It appears that he won’t be off for some months, but I thought I’d take the opportunity to drink a bottle of brown ale to celebrate the beginning of the end of his time as a political leader.
How odd that the election was more “presidential” in style than any previous election, with the emphasis on the three party leaders and their prime-ministerial debates, and now one of those three will no longer be a party leader, and somebody else entirely may become PM.
Andrew returned from Northumbria today, bringing leftover supplies from our weekend away. We came home a day early, on Sunday afternoon, so Beth could get to school this morning.

...but I'm sure the media will interpret that as a condemnation of Brown, rather than a suggestion that the debates aren't the most appropriate thing for our system.
