Chinese Caol

We’re moored for the night on a pontoon at the top of Neptune’s Staircase. This is the end of the canal for us; the hire boats aren't allowed to go any further. Father, Beth, and I walked down into Caol this afternoon, where we looked out across the water to Fort William:

Then we got a Chinese carryout for tea, and have just finished eating it back at the boat. This is the Chinese restaurant with Ben Nevis behind it:

Having made a brisk journey down the canal, we’re looking forward to starting a leisurely return journey in the morning.
