At Christmas we were given some new dinner plates. So time to clear out our old crockery.

Free (if you can collect from St Andrews): dinner plates, breakfast plates, side plates, and a pepper pot. All in the Royal Doulton “Trailfinder” pattern. (For those with a long retail memory, the dinner plates and side plates were part of an offer based on collecting tokens at Safeway supermarkets about fifteen years ago.)

10x dinner plates
6x breakfast plates
11x side plates
Pepper pot

After a service outage back in July (which I didn’t notice at the time), O2 has given its customers a £10 voucher to spend in O2 shops during September. To use it, I downloaded the O2 Moments app, which lists various offers that companies offer to O2 customers. I expected to find nothing else of interest, but it turns out that Millie’s Cookies give four free cookies via the app.

So we went to the Overgate Centre in Dundee yesterday, collected our cookies ([livejournal.com profile] kateaw, [livejournal.com profile] qidane, and I all have phones on O2, so twelve free cookies), and then on to the O2 shop where I spent my voucher on a thumb drive. Which is so small it is more like a thumb-nail drive.

Freebies!

Dr Noodles now do rice! And tofu! Yum yum.

Time to say goodbye to my creaky old MacBook Pro. My iPad arrived today, and it is lovely. This is the first new computer I’ve bought for myself since the MBP in 2006. I’m delighted that many of my commonly-used iPhone apps are enhanced for the iPad, and some of the iPad-specific apps are amazing (who needs games when one can play with GarageBand?).

I subscribed to the Daily Telegraph app; I’m addicted to the crossword, and this is much easier than their web-based puzzle subscription, which I’ve used up until now.
