Formula One fans rejoice!

The BBC has delighted us by announcing that Martin Brundle is to become the lead commentator this year, with David Coulthard as his co-commentator. No more Jonathan Legard!

Legard may be a very nice man, but it would be an understatement to say that members of the Atkin-Wright household are not fans of his commentating.

I'm not sure that's the best new pairing as you need someone who is a genuine commentator by trade to tell us what's going on professionally and not just describe what everything is like as 'A FORMER DRIVER'. Brundle says the same stuff every week!

I think I would prefer Legard & Coulthard and leave Brundle to his Grid Walk. That's about as much as I can take of him every race day!

I'm delighted with this. I found Legard almost unlistenable-to from the start, and even though he calmed down over time I will be very happy to listen to David Coulthard in his place.

Le sigh. I wish we could get the BBC commentary here!
