Sadly we're not having haggis. We forgot all about Burns Night when food shopping on Sunday, so bought something else. We'll have haggis sometime next week though, with neeps and tatties, as proper. No whisky for me though: very teetotal due to all my cytotoxic drugs.

Not alone, then

I had fish and chips last night, and haven't had or bought haggis for weeks. I have, however, just added two portions to my next Tesco order to eat sometime next week - the McIntosh packs of haggis, neeps and tatties.

We bought a MacSween haggis in Tescos this morning, along with mashed neeps and tatties. For eating on Monday night. I like the McIntosh packs though. Very handy for a quick and easy meal.

How to have the Best Burns Night Ever, eh no?

I shared Nahm-Jim's Thai haggis starter with my sister, as it happens, compliments of the house, before getting the starter I ordered. Not sure whether this was because it was Burns Night, or because it's now their signature dish having wowed Gordon Ramsay with it.
