East Coast cuisine

A few vegetarian items on the “At-Seat Dining” menu. Unfortunately they had sold out of everything veggie but the vegetable curry, and I didn’t feel strong enough to attempt a train-cooked curry.

After some negotiation, the trolley ladies recalled the presence of bread in the galley, and were able to bring me a cheese and tomato toastie, which was passable. The cheese hadn’t melted, and was too strong a cheddar for its purpose. I wonder whether there are any dishes containing cheddar that couldn’t be improved by its substitution by red leicester.

The toastie was served with a sachet of Heinz ketchup.
