From Labour to Conservative? A move in the “right” direction!

At least in parliamentary representation, yes.

London Assembly representative is also (of course) Labour.
Possibly more surprisingly, local councillors go from 3 x Conservative to 1 x Liberal Democrat in moving from London to rural Shropshire.
