Today’s Christmas treat has been Rob Halford’s recent album Halford III: Winter Songs with his eponymous band Halford. Best known for his work with Judas Priest, Rob Halford is joined here by American guitarist Roy Z, who collaborated on several of Bruce Dickinson’s solo albums.

A heavier, more serious, metal sound than yesterday’s Twisted Sister, there is much to appreciate in a classic heavy metal take on original and traditional Christmas songs.
All carols should have guitar solos. No, really, they should.
