The sky is blue and the sun is shining. What a pity I'm stuck in an office in Dundee today.

But tomorrow... time for a BBQ. Would you like to join us for a BBQ in St Andrews tomorrow lunchtime? We'll be cooking from 1pm, and hopefully wearing sun hats rather than rain hats.

Time for another BBQ!

We have painters doing the exterior woodwork and doors. They started in the middle of last week, and did a couple of evenings’ work, and came back to finish the job this morning, doing our house, next door, and Andrew’s house. This means our doors have changed colour — no more yellow! Photo will follow when it’s all done. Beth greatly enjoyed following the painters around, “helping” them and chattering non-stop.

Yesterday’s BBQ was fun, but with fewer people than the last two. Since we had a smaller turnout when I gave more notice, I wonder if the converse would be true?

Nearly time to go and start preparing veg for lunch. I wonder if I can tear myself away from the Maiden DVD.

In a miracle of forward planning, I can declare that Saturday (5 June) will be a BBQ day. For once I’m planning more than 24 hours ahead! We'll be BBQing from 1 pm, at 29 Brewster Place, St Andrews. Even if it rains, we'll be charring chops under brollies. We'll provide basic food and drink (soft drinks, salads, bread, cheese, and veggie burgers and sausages), but if you want something more exciting to drink, or you like a particular bit of meat, bring it with you.

Let me know if you're coming, so we know to expect you.
